Welcome to Norwood Avenue Elementary School!
I am deeply humbled and honored to be appointed to serve as the principal of Norwood. This will begin a new, collective journey in which we are able to build upon past successes while creating an even stronger foundation for new learning and achievement opportunities for our students.
As a primary building, we, the faculty and staff, pride ourselves on being a caring, collaborative community where joy, inclusivity, creativity, independence, and a love of learning are some of our greatest values. The entire Norwood family is committed to providing students with the best possible school experience.
We hope that families can be active members and engaged in their student’s learning journey here at Norwood. Throughout the year, exciting things are happening in our classrooms. We encourage you to get involved by joining our NSA, volunteering at school activities, and taking an active role in your child's education. This year, Maureen Russo is our NSA President.
Our motto at Norwood is "Scatter Kindness." Every morning, we remind our students:
You are first and foremost your student’s most important teacher. These years will go quickly and may be some of the most important and fundamental years of your child’s educational experience.
